Now in charge of asset acquisition at Alberk Properties in Cornelius, North Carolina, Nathaniel (“Nathan” or “Nate”) Brown and his business partner opened Auto House in 2008 and handled all business operations of the car dealership. A graduate of Catawba College, Nathan Brown played on the school’s soccer team. He and Auto House assisted with Catawba’s Frock Field reconstruction project in 2013.
The Frock Field reconstruction was a complete overhaul of the field, beginning with the installation of 524-seat-capacity bleachers. Accommodations for fans with special needs were included through a wheelchair ramp and spaces set aside for wheelchair and companion seating. Reconstruction also included a team bench area, a new scoreboard, and a two-story press box.
Auto House helped fund the project by hosting an automobile raffle and allowing players from the Catawba College soccer team to handle ticket sales. The grand prize for the raffle was a 2010 Honda Civic donated by Auto House’s Salisbury location. Raffle sales successfully raised $15,000.
